CERVICAL SMEAR appointments

Smears are booked with our Well Woman-trained nurses, please telephone to make an appointment.  We are delighted to be able to offer these in some of our Improving Access clinics (between 6:30pm and 8pm and on some Saturdaysl.

If you have a life-threatening medical emergency please dial 999.  

If we are closed and you require GP assistance which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, call 1-1-1. Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles. 

For speedy help or advice from one of our GPs without attending the surgery: use eConsult

About The Wilson Practice

We are an NHS General Practice serving 14,600 people.  We have been providing health care for patients in Alton and surrounding villages for over 60 years. We are based in Alton Health Centre, on the north east side of the town.

Our doctors practise family medicine offering around 60,000 consultations a year, with our nursing team extending this capacity. We see and treat some 1000 minor injuries every year in a purpose-built unit within the Health Centre.

Our team of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals offers a wide range of general medical services, health promotion, minor injury and preventive medicine and we aspire to provide the highest standards of care.
