CERVICAL SMEAR appointments

Smears are booked with our Well Woman-trained nurses, please telephone to make an appointment.  We are delighted to be able to offer these in some of our Improving Access clinics (between 6:30pm and 8pm and on some Saturdaysl.

FOR MEDICAL EMERGENCIES - call 999.  Medical emergencies include severe chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, severe bleeding or sudden collapse.

For urgent medical issues

Between 8:00 - 18:30 Monday - Friday, excludng Bank Holidays  Call the surgery (01420 84676) and press '9'.    

At all other times   Call NHS111 (simply dial 111)

For routine medical issues, and medically-related administration (eg Fit to Work Note request)

  • Please try our e-Consult service (see Home page). This has a wide range of NHS-approved self-care advice and the option to complete an eConsult questionnaire which will be reviewed by one of our GPs.   You can also use e-Consult to request a Fit Note (medical certificate) or to ask your doctor a question about your medication or what to do if your symptoms have returned.  The e-Consult system has been developed by a group of general practitioners and heavily tested.  You will receive a response to an e-Consult by the end of the next working day at the latest.
  • To order repeat medication or to book or cancel an appointment - sign up to on-line patient access for these services (and to view your clinical record if you wish) - see our Home page.

  • You can contact Reception by telephone 01420 84676.  We cannot take requests for medication over the telephone
