If you have a life-threatening medical emergency please dial 999.  If we are closed and you require GP assistance which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, call 1-1-1. Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles.

MORE FLU NEWS: young children pose a threat to the older generation...

Flu is in the area. NHS England advises parents of two- to three-year-olds (birthdays between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2017) and of youngsters of any age with underlying medical conditions to get their children vaccinated as soon as possible, if they haven't already, to avoid them suffering over the holiday period and to stop them infecting older family members. We have appointments available - call now.

ADULT FLU JABS  Booking now for eligible patients during routine surgery times.

Simply book online if you have Patient Access or ask at Reception.

You are eligible for a free NHS flu jab if you:

  • are 65 years old or over
  • are pregnant
  • have certain medical conditions
  • are living in a long-stay residential care home or other long-stay care facility
  • receive a carer's allowance, or you are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if you fall ill

About The Wilson Practice

We are an NHS General Practice serving 14,600 people.  We have been providing health care for patients in Alton and surrounding villages for over 60 years. We are based in Alton Health Centre, on the north east side of the town.

Our doctors practise family medicine offering around 60,000 consultations a year, with our nursing team extending this capacity. We see and treat some 1000 minor injuries every year in a purpose-built unit within the Health Centre.

Our team of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals offers a wide range of general medical services, health promotion, minor injury and preventive medicine and we aspire to provide the highest standards of care.
