Online Video Consultations and Sending Photos

The Wilson Practice uses AccuRX, a programme integrated with our clinical system that allows us to send text messages, and also now gives your GP to ability to request a photo to be sent to the practice via your smartphone or tablet. These photos will only be used in support of your consultation and in sending these to us, the picture(s) will be added to your clinical record.

AccuRX stores these images as part of the process of transferring to the practice. The stored photos are on UK servers which are fully encrypted to NHS standards, and are inaccessible by any AccuRx staff. They are stored for the period of time recommended by the NHS Records Management Code of Practice.

AccuRX also supports our GPs in providing video consultations. These consultations are run through UK servers and are fully encrypted to NHS standards. These video consultations are not recorded and no images can or will be captured during these consultations.
